We are proud to have Dr. Paul Pepe this year. Paul E. Pepe, M.D., M.P.H., a Professor with Tenure in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Public Health & Emergency Medicine (EM) at UT Southwestern, is the City of Dallas Director of Medical Emergency Services for Public Safety, Public Health & Homeland Security. He is also is the Regional Director for Out-of-Hospital Mobile Care Systems and Disaster/Event Preparedness in the Office of Health System Affairs. An extremely distinguished academician, he headed the clinical, administrative, academic and research programs in EM at UT Southwestern between 2000 and 2014 and was EM Chair at the Medical College of Pennsylvania Pittsburgh campus in the 1990s.

Participants will:

  • gain an appreciation of skills and knowledge through networking with multiple levels of emergency care providers.
  • acquire knowledge and techniques common to both prehospital and hospital based emergency caregivers.
  • promote and establish continuity of care for the acutely ill/injured through an interdisciplinary approach.
